As our sole funding source, the WAGS Tournament fuels our mission to empower women and girls through soccer, leadership, and opportunity.
In the past ten years, WAGS has redefined the landscape for female athletes, launching historic initiatives that foster confidence, strength, character, and leadership. Every program we support is a testament to progress, breaking barriers and creating new pathways for women in the game.
Through tournament funding, WAGS has provided impact sponsorships for the NWSL’s Washington Spirit, Semi-Pro THL Reckoning, Semi-Pro Marauders, and The Mindset Group with Johanna Lohman, United Soccer Coaches Women’s Symposium and . We have championed the advancement of women through initiatives like the United Soccer Coaches Convention Child Care Center, all-female coach and referee certification courses led by female instructors, our groundbreaking all-female CTL-1 course, in partnership with U.S. Soccer, USYS, and US Club and the all female B License coaching in partnership with 16 State Associations across the county
