Communications & Digital Content Administrator: Independent Contractor (1099)

Contract Value Up to $35,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

 

About WAGS

Women and Girls in Soccer (WAGS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing opportunities for women and girls through soccer. WAGS supports youth development, coaching education, scholarships, community initiatives, and one of the nation’s premier girls soccer tournaments.

WAGS is seeking proposals from qualified independent contractors to provide communications, digital content, and social media services that enhance the organization’s visibility, strengthen engagement, and promote its programs and initiatives.

Scope of Services

The selected contractor will:

  • Manage and maintain WAGS’ social media platforms.
  • Create engaging graphics, videos, and digital content using Canva or similar design software.
  • Maintain and update the WAGS website.
  • Promote WAGS tournaments, programs, sponsorships, grants, scholarships, events, and organizational initiatives.
  • Monitor the WAGS communications email account, respond to routine inquiries, and forward messages to the appropriate Board member or volunteer.
  • Maintain a content calendar to ensure timely and consistent communications.
  • Capture and share stories that highlight the mission, impact, and success of WAGS.
  • Provide weekly project updates through Asana.

Desired Qualifications

The ideal contractor will possess:

  • Experience managing social media and digital communications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience creating graphics and marketing materials using Canva or similar software.
  • Experience maintaining website content (WordPress or similar platform preferred).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet established deadlines.
  • Experience with youth sports, nonprofit organizations, or event marketing is preferred.

Contract Information

  • Independent Contractor (1099)
  • Contract Value: Up to $35,000 annually
  • Reports to: WAGS Chairwoman
  • Flexible work schedule with occasional evening and weekend support during tournaments and special events.
  • Weekly task management and reporting through Asana. (Project Management Platform)

  • Relevant experience with social media, website management, and digital communications.
  • Portfolio or examples of previous work.
  • Two professional references.
